ItalianoDer Club Alpbach Südtirol Alto Adige ermöglichte heuer einem jungen vertriebenen Studenten aus der Ostukraine die Teilnahme am EFA. Die Initiative wurde in diesem Frühjahr von der Kiew Initiative Group ins Leben gerufen und sollte aus der Ostukraine und der Krim vertriebenen StudentInnen die Möglichkeit geben, am Forum teilzunehmen. Der Club Alpbach Südtirol Alto Adige folgte als erster Club des Alpbach-Netzwerkes dem Aufruf der Kiewer Initiativgruppe und konnte 522 € für ein Stipendium aufbringen. Weitere Alpbach-Clubs wie der Club Alpbach Tirol und private Sponsoren wie die ERSTE Foundation und SmartDocuments schlossen sich dem Südtiroler Club in der Förderung der Aktion an. So konnten insgesamt 10 Stipendien für in ihrem eigenen Land vertriebene junge UkrainerInnen vergeben werden.
Das ‚Südtiroler‘ Stipendium konnte CASA-Präsidentin Petra Malfertheiner dem 21-jährigen Vladyslav Aleksandrov am Rande der Politischen Gespräche in Alpbach zusammen mit einer kleinen Auswahl an Südtiroler Spezialitäten überreichen. Der junge Ukrainer musste seine Heimatstadt Donezk im Zuge der kriegerischen Auseinandersetzungen im Donbass verlassen. Aleksandrov studiert derzeit Jus im polnischen Poznan und hofft, den in Alpbach gepflegten Gedanken des gesamteuropäischen Friedens in naher Zukunft wieder in seine Heimatregion tragen zu können. Der Vorstand des Club Alpbach Südtirol Alto Adige freute sich mit Vladyslav über die erkenntnisreiche Zeit am Forum, und will auch in Zukunft aktiv zu solchen länderübergreifenden Initiativen beitragen sowie die Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Clubs und Initiativgruppen fördern und leben.

Thus, my stay in the beautiful Alpbach in Austria, at the European Forum Alpbach, has terminated. To tell you the truth, before the start of this event I hardly could even imagine what the European Forum Alpbach would be about, despite some good research done by me in the Internet. But now I can say for sure that it is the most extensive and the most interesting event I have ever attended. These were incredible 8 days filled with new friends, emotions, feelings and impressions. Only 8 days, but how many events are in them: legal, technology, political and economical symposiums, discussions with outstanding personalities, economists, politicians, lawyers and managers from all over the world, the speech of Jeffrey Sachs, speaker’s night (which has reminded me of TED performances), lunch with the Ukrainian Ambassador in Austria, a pompous cultural programme, a trip to the mountains and of course an unforgettable Ukrainian party – this is the European Forum Alpbach for me now.
This Forum gave me a great opportunity to become a part of one of the most essential events in the world, to become a part of a democratic society that is ready for the future, to share my ideas with colleagues and get new experience as to the issues of inequality in the politics, economy and law. This event again has showed me that in order to change the world you should constantly work hard, improve yourself and never give up. Sebastian Kurz, the youngest minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria in the country’s history, who also performed during the political symposium, is a shining example of such hard work. The European Forum Alpbach helped me to feel this unique European culture and atmosphere, to know more about European values and to expand my horizons and gave me motivation to improve myself for the further changes.
